The EEPROMicon Signature EEPROM and Advanced Programming Class is a comprehensive learning
experience incorporating theory, demonstrations and hands-on application.
This class is for the technician that has OEM and /or J2534 programming experience. This class builds on
that knowledge and exposes the student to new tools, methods and means to make used parts work in
applications where the OEM tool does not allow it. The class goes beyond the OEM in giving each
student resources that the OEM does not provide. This gives each student an edge over the
competition.
Some examples of the subjects covered…
- EEPROM chip function and footprint.
- Identifying, reading and writing EEPROM chips board level.
- Using Data Sheets to help identify EEPROM chips.
- Soldering small components.
- Solder and Hot Air Stations.
- P-Flash, D-Flash, EEE
- ECU Cloning
- MCU ID, Reading and Writing.
- Mapping unmapped boards to read MCU or EEPROM.
In addition to the video presentation and lecture, the student is shown practical application of the
knowledge shared. In day 2 the student has the opportunity to get hands-on experience in all the above
subjects. Students are encouraged to bring in projects from home. A large collection of tools will be
available to test drive.
The intent of the class is to open the range of possibilities wide so that each student returns home with
the skills required to allow used parts replacements.
This class will be administered by Tim Iezzi, Ira Waldman and Mike Christopherson
